Toastmaster Speech #1 - Ice breaking
"Thank you Mr/Mrs. Toastmaster" “Fellow toastmasters and future toastmasters........ I have been thinking long of what to tell all of you, today. When I started preparing the speech, I was under the impression that talking about oneself was the easiest thing to do in the world. However, only when I started penning my thoughts, I realized that it is not that simple....and also that I have come a long way in my life. Let me now gives, you a glimpse of my life in a fast-forward mode. Dear toastmasters.... I was born and bred in the Sungai Petani - Kedah and have fond memories of that place... My dad was an army officer and mother is a home maker. I did my schooling all over many places in Malaysia as every 2 to 3 years, my dad being a government servant will be posted. I was actually a very mischievous boy back then. I recall an incident that happens when I was 11 years. When I was studying in the standard 5 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, I was deeply involved in the chalk piece fight...
